                              (120 people) with the  headquarters  managed
                              to get back to Poland.
            October, 25       The  USSR  Land  code  was  approved.
            1922              According  to  its  terms,  land  nationalization
                              was introduced, private property of land was
                              abolished.  All  lands  were  proclaimed  to  be
                              the property of the state.
            December,10       VII  All-Ukrainian  Congress  of  councils  in
            1922              Kharkiv  approved  of  the  Declaration  about
                              establishment of the USSR and the project of
                              Union treaty.
            October, 30       I congress of  Councils of USSR  in Moscow
            1922              proclaimed the establishment of the USSR. It
                              included  the  Russian  Federation,    Ukrainian
                              SSR,  Bielorussian  SSR,  the  Transcaucasian
                              federation (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan). G.
                              Petrovsky became the member of the Central
                              Executive  Committee  of  Ukraine.  As  there
                              was only one ruling unitary Communist party
                              RCP(b),  the  Soviet  Union  as  a  union  of
                              independent  states  was  not  more  than  a
                              fiction.  The  real  status  of  republics  was  not
                              equal, any decision taken by Moscow CC was
                              a must to every republic.
            March, 14         The resolution of the Ambassador Council of
            1923              France,  Italy,  Japan  and  Great  Britain  about
                              recognition of Eastern Halychyna as a part
                              of  Poland  provided  the  above  mentioned
                              lands would be given the status of autonomy.
                              However,  the  Polish  government  abolished
                              the  status  of  Halychyna  as  a  separate
