June, 9 The Ukrainian National Council, trying to
1919 stabilize the situation, passed all legislative
and executive power to Y. Petrushevych.
June, 25 The Supreme Council of the Entente in Paris
1919 resolved “in order to secure peaceful
population of Eastern Halychyna and their
home from danger of Bolsheviks,… authorize
the Polish Republic to conduct their military
operations to the border of the Zbruch river”.
Thus, the Entente allowed Poland occupying
the whole territory of Eastern Halychyna.
July, 15 UGA and the government leave Halychyna
1919 and moved over the Zbruch river to the
territory, controlled by the Directory troops.
September, 10 According to the terms of Saint-Germain-en-
1919 Laye treaty, Austria gave Bukovyna to
Romania; Transcarpathia was passed over to
Czechoslovakia.
November, 16 Y. Petrushevych, the dictator of WUPR, lefts
1919 Ukraine and went to Vienne.
March, 18 The Riga peace treaty with Poland as one
1921 part and RSFSR and USSR as another part
established a new border, according to which,
lands of Western Ukraine were passed to the
restored Commonwealth of Poland ІІ.
March, 15 The resolution of the Council of
1923 Ambassadors of France, Great Britain, Italy
and Japan to recognize Eastern Halychyna as
a part of Poland on condition that these ethnic
Ukrainian lands were given the status of
autonomy. The government of WUPR, being
abroad after protest, had to liquidate itself.
