                              Yaroslav on the Syan river. Rostyslav was the
                              son  of  Chernihiv  prince  Mykhailo  and    was
                              asked to rule by the boyars of Halychyna;
            1245              5)  Danylo  Halytskyi’s  travel  to  the  Golden
                              Horde.  He  recognized  the  vassalage  and
                              received “yarlyk” (the letter) for princedom.
            1247              6)  treaty  of  friendship  with  Hungary
                              consolidated  by  the  marriage  of  Danylo
                              Halytskyi’s  son  Lev  and  Hungarian  queen
                              Constantia;
            1253              7)  Danylo  Halytskyi’s  crowninng  by  legate
                              Opizo on behalf of the Pope Innocentius IV in
                              Dorohochyn.  Rome  promised  to  create  the
                              European  coalition  for  the  crusade  against
                              Mongolo-Tatars but it did not take place and
                              Danylo broke with Rome.
            1253-1254         8)  Danylo  Halytskyi’s  campaigns  against
                              yatvags  and  Grand  Principality  of  Lithuania
                              resulting in broadening of the northern border
                              of his state up to the parts of so-called Black
                              Ruthenia (Chorna Rus), the lands situated to
                              the  north  from  the  Upper  Prypiat  river.  He
                              married  his  son  Shvarno  to  Lithuanian
                              prince’s daughter Mindovha;
                              9) large campaigns against “bolohovtsy”, the
                              so-called  “Tatar  people,  who  received
                              voluntary protectorate of the Golden Horde to
                              overthrow the reign of prince”. Their cities on
                              the Sluch and Teteriv rivers were destroyed;
