                              Ivano-Frankivsk  city  councils  passed  a
                              resolution  to  recognize  V.  Yushchenko  the
                              President of Ukraine. V. Putin, the President
                              of  Russia  congratulated  V.  Yanukovych  on
                              his  convincing  victory  in  presidential
                              elections.
            November, 23      More than 150 thousand people with orange
            2004              symbols  were  present  in  the  morning  on
                              Maidan. Students and reporters of “1+1” TV
                              channel called all-Ukrainian strike. V. Lytvyn
                              closed the session of the Supreme Council. V.
                              Yushchenko, with  microphones off, took the
                              President Oath on the Ostroh Bible. Meetings
                              extended to the walls of the Supreme Council,
                              the  picketers  besieged  the  President’s
                              residence in Bankova Street.
            November, 24      CEC  announced  V.  Yanukovych  the  winner
            2004              of  the  presidential  elections.  V.  Yushchenko
                              called  all-Ukrainian  political  strike.  “The
                              Committee  of  National  Rescue”,  formed  by
                              the coalition “The Power of People” accepted
                              the responsibility for democracy defence.
            November, 25      The Committee of National Rescue headed by
            2004              V.  Yushchenko,  issued  several  decrees:
                              “About  restoration  of  the  rule  of  people  in
                              Ukraine”,  “About security of law order in the
                              state”,  “About  immediate  measures  of  the
                              citizens’  constitutional  rights,  freedom  of
                              speech,  information  dissemination    and  their
                              security”.   The   demonstrators    occupied
                              Ukrainian  House  (their  headquarters),  the
                              Building  of  Trade  Unions  in  Maidan
