UIA.  Later  the  remains  formed  The  First
                              Ukrainian division under general Shandruk’s
                              commandment. After war it was interned and
                              sent to England.
            July              Formation of Ukrainian Central Liberation
            1944              Council  by  initiative  of  OUN(b).  It  was  a
                              non-party structure with functions of civil and
                              military  management.  Roman  Shukhevych
                              headed the UCLC. It had to control the armed
                              struggle  against  Soviet  military  and  civil
                              administration.
            September, 8 – East-Carpathian  strategic  campaign.  On
            October,    28  October,  8  the  last  inhabited  settlement  of
            1944              Ukraine  within  its  pre-war  borders  was
                              liberated  (Lavochne  village,  Drohobych
                              region).  On  October,  28  Transcarpathia  was
                              liberated (within present borders of Ukraine).
                              October,  28  is  considered  the  day  of  final
                              liberation of Ukraine.
            September         The  treaty  of  the  government  of  the
            1944              Ukrainian  Soviet  Socialist  Republic  and
                              Polish Committee of national liberation about
                              interchange  of  population:  the  Polish  on  the
                              territory  of  Western  Ukraine  and  Ukrainians
                              from Eastern Poland.
            November, 26      The resolution of I Congress of delegates of
            1944              People’s  Committees  of  Transcarpathian
                              Ukraine  about  unification  with  Ukrainian
                              Soviet Socialist Republic.
            February, 4-11  The Crimean (Yalta) conference of leaders of
             1945             anti-Hitler  coalition  countries  (the  USSR,
                              Great Britain, the USA).
            April, 26         Ukraine  was  present  among  50  countries  –
