5. Reverse translation (in opposite order 3-2-1):

e.g. the target language peculiarities – особливості мови
                                                                                                       перекладу.

                    6. 1-3-2 order approach:

e.g. London delegate conference – Лондонська конференція
                                                                                                делегатів.

The three-componental asyndetic noun clusters may be preceded by other than noun
component in the function of attribute. The meaning of such clusters is conveyed
starting with the initial attributive component and then proceeding according to the rules
            mentioned above.

the national cash register factory – державний завод
                      e.g. касових апаратів

Sometimes the initial attribute does not refer to the whole asyndetic noun clusters and
forms a close sense unit only with the initial noun. In this case translating may start
from some other component and the choice of the approach to a faithful translation can
be prompted by the context and by the style of the text under translation.

e.g. the Nothern Ireland Labour Party – Лейбористська партія
                                       Північної Ірландії (AN+NN).

The attribute in the noun cluster may sometimes modify the head noun and form a sense
unit with it. Such sense unit often serves as a starting point for translation.

Kent area general secretary – генеральний секретар Кентської
                      e.g. округи (NN+AN).

V Translation of Four-Componental Asyndetic Noun Clusters.
The nouns within the four-componental asyndetic noun clusters are
interconnected too, and there may be different structural forms of them. The approach to
translation of such clusters is usually predetermined by the character of semantic
interrelations between the components, by the meaning of a separate noun, by its
structure or by the position of it within the cluster.
Among the most frequently used approaches to translating the four-componental
asyndetic noun clusters are the following:

                                                                                                              20
