     Sahaidachny. He:
                              1)  established   discipline   in   Cossack
                              environment  and  strengthened  its  status  by
                              compromise with the Polish government;
                              2)  was  an  organizer  of  the  most  powerful
                              marine  campaigns  against  the  Crimean
                              Khanate  and  Ottoman  Empire  including
                              Ochakiv, Perekop, Synop, Kafa, Trapezund;
                              3)  together with the army of Zaporizhian Sich
                              joined  the  Kyiv  Brotherhood  (appeared  in
                              1615); in 1618 carried out the campaign with
                              20, 000 strong army against Moscow to free
                              prince  Vladyslav  from  the  siege.  Thanks  to
                              the  help  of  Cossacks  Polish-Lithuanian
                              Commonwealth  concluded  Truce  of  Deulino
                              with Moscow in 1618;
                              4)  in  1619  signed  Rostavitsk  treaty  with
                              Poland,  according  to  which,  the  register
                              increased  to  3  thousand  men;  the  registered
                              Cossacks  received  the  payment  of  40
                              thousand    zlotys,  the  unregistered  had  to
                              return to their previous state;
                              5)  in  1620  took  advantage  of  the  Patriarch
                              Teophanes’s    III  of  Jerusalem  visit  to  Kyiv
                              and  got  Iov  Boretskyi  to  be  appointed  as  a
                              Kyivan  Metropolitan  bishop  and  five  new
                              Orthodox  bishops  for  five  eparchies.  Thus,
                              the  Orthodox  Metropolitan  system  was
                              restored;
                              6)  in  1621  in  the  battle  under  Khotyn
                              supported the Polish army (30 thousand) with
                              40,000 strong Cossack army to withstand the
                              army of Turkey (160 thousand). The Turkish
