aren't fresh. There is no ice cream. The coffee is practically cold. You
want to see the head waiter. He is all politeness.
22.Role-play.
Martin and Marble (Americans) and Maryna and Yury (Ukrainians)
are thinking of starting their own business. Their joint venture is
supposedly a restaurant or a cafe. Martin's background is in
management, Mable's is in cafe service, Maryna is an accountant, Yury
is a designer. Discuss the following: location, premises, the motto of the
restaurant, specialization, the cost of labour, professional personnel, the
cost of food, supplies and suppliers, investments, combined resources,
risk involved, to attract customers, setting arrangements, smoking/non-
smoking sections; modern schemes of decoration, tableware, crockery,
cutlery, the menu (a wide choice of traditional Ukrainian and English
dishes), monthly output, the average time taken for the customer to be
