grammatical genders: masculine, feminine and neuter. The
                            morphological category of gender in Ukrainian is identified either
                            through separate inflexions of the adjunct or through the inflexion
                            of the finite form of the verb that conjugates with the noun.
                                   In present-day English no gender distinctions of the kind
                            are possible. Absence of morphological category of gender in
                            English is easy to be proved by the unchanged attributive adjuncts
                            to nouns which have this category in Ukrainian.
                                   The adjective “great” does not express only gender
                            distinction of the English head nouns “emperor”, “heroine” or
                            “desire” as it is in Ukrainian

                               2. Adjective as a Part of Speech in English and Ukrainian
                                                       Languages

                                   In the contrasted languages adjectives are subdivided into
                            two classes: qualitative and relative. This division of adjective in
                            both languages is conventional.
                                   The allomorphic feature can be found in English, it is the
                            existence of quantitative adjective: little, few, much, many. The
                            Ukrainian language does not have such adjectives and the
                            corresponding meanings are rendered (кілька, декілька).
                                   The Ukrainian language in its turn possesses a peculiar
                            group of adjective, not present in English. They are possessive
                            adjectives. They express belonging of some object to this or that
                            person or creature, from the name of whom they are created:
                            батьків, учителева, Танин.
                                   As for the structure of adjectives they fall in English and
                            Ukrainian into three far form equal by their number groups:
                                   1) basic (simple): big, bold, clean/варт, рад;
                                   2) derivative: rural, capable;
                                   3) compound: unlike basic and derivative ones they are
                            characterized in the contrasted languages by some structural or
                            lexical morphemes.
