usual, the neutralization of “aspect” opposemes depends on the
lexical meanings of the corresponding verbs. In English there are
such verbs having no aspect opposites (belong, appear, see,
                            believe, burst).
In Ukrainian two aspects are differentiated: Perfective
                            (зробити) and Imperfective (робити).

                                                    The Category of Tense

In Ukrainian the category of tense is closely connected with
the category of person. The tense of the Ukrainian verb is
expressed morphologically in the indicative mood. The imperative
and and the conditional moods do not posses the tense
                            differentiation.
In English the system of the category of tenses is
represented by 16 tenses: Each tense form has the common and the
continuous aspect. In Ukrainian the system of the category of
tenses is represented by 3 tenses: Present, past and Future.
According to the Russian linguist A. I. Smirnitsky in
English there is a special grammatical category of tense reference
which is expressed with the help of special tense forms, known as
                            perfect and perfect continuous forms.

                                                     The Category of Voice

According to Yu. Zhluktenko, the issue concerning forms
of the voice expression in the system of English verb cannot be
                            considered a finally solved problem.
The majority of grammars express the opinion that the
English language has three voices (Active, Passive and Reflexive).
The Reflexive voice shows that the action is centered upon the
doer of the action himself/herself (asked himself). There is some
other view concerning this issue. For example O. I. Smirnitsky
denies the existence of special grammar form and considers that in
