Спить.) In Ukrainian personal verbs are much more independent.
They are very often used without the subject.
As for impersonal verbs, in Ukrainian they are much more
numerous than in English. In Ukrainian they are never used with
the subject. In English impersonal verbs are always used with the
third person singular: it rained, it is snowing. English verbs are
used with the formal subject expressed by the pronoun it.

                                                   The Category of Number

In English the category of number is represented in the
opposemes as/ am – are; accordingly was-were. In Ukrainian the
category of number is expressed in the form of three pairs of
                            opposition: 1 person singular – 1 person plural; 2 person singular –
                            2 person plural; 3 person singular – 3 person plural (Я пишу – Ми
пишемо. Ти пишеш – Ви пишете. Він/ вона/ воно пише – Вони
                            пишуть).
It can be stated, that in both languages the category of
number is tightly connected with the category of person. The
system of the Ukrainian verb expresses the category of number
very distinctly: the forms of singular and plural are characteristic
of the majority of the Ukrainian verb in all three moods.

                                                    The Category of Aspect

Usually there are two basic kinds differentiated in English:
                                   1) continuous aspect expressed by continuous verb forms.
The forms of continuous aspect point out towards the process of
                            some action, its development (works);
                                   2) non-continuous aspect expressed by indefinite verb
forms. Forms of the common aspect render the mere fact of the
                            action (is working).
With the regard to the category of aspect verbs are divided
into those that have aspect opposites and those that do not have. As
