April, 23 The first president of the Russian Federation
2007 Borys Yeltsyn died. The Prime minister of
Ukraine V. Yanukovych participated in the
mourning ceremony in Moscow.
April, 27 The president of Ukraine V. Yushchenko,
2007 having taken into account the CEC appeal
about quorum absence and impossibility to
conduct elections on May, 27, signed a new
decree about conduction of pre-term elections
on June, 24, 2007.
May, 12 V. Yushchenko participated in the Energy
2007 Summit in Krakiv, where the developed
complex guarantees of unobstructed transit of
energy sources for national economies and
“East-West” vector. The measures were to
balance regulations of Energy Charter and
producers’ interests, transiters and consumers
of energy sources. The political resolution
was adopted to construct oil pipeline “Odesa-
Brody” to the point of Hdansk.
May, 29 V. Yushchenko, the Chairman of the Supreme
2007 Council O. Moroz and Prime Minister V.
Yanukovych as an attempt to settle the
political crisis, signed a joint statement,
saying that pre-term parliamentary elections
would take place on September, 30, 2007.
(The president signed the appropriate decree
on June, 5, 2007).
July, 16 Technological disaster occurred in Lviv
2007 oblast. As a result of railway accident near
Ozhydiv village, 15 carriages containing
yellow phosphorus from Kazakhstan to
Poland, were derailed, tipped over and got
