Music is the art of expressing ideas and emotions in
insignificant sound forms by using the elements of rhythm, Melody
and harmony through voices, instruments or both. Music plays a great
role in everyone's life. It keeps us busy in spare time and makes our
life peaceful. It can bring back memories of happy times and make you
smile.
Music can be divided into different genres such as classical
music, pop music, rock music, rhythm and blues, jazz and a lot of
other.
The music industry emerged about a century ago or in the
middle of the 20ty century.
It is a part of the cultural economy which gives way to the
sustenance of various arts. In most countries in the world music
represents the creativity and cultural values.
The music industry consists of individuals and companies that
earn money by creating new songs and pieces, selling live concerts
and shows, audio and video recordings, compositions and sheet music.
This industry comprises of the musicians, music composers,
singers and music publishers and promoters. From the past twenty
years a music industry represents the economic value over the other
industry by providing the employment and promoting the music in the
world.
