The impact of globalizing cultural trends on a variety of
national cultures has become one of the burning issues of the day.
Cultural globalization refers to the transmission of ideas, meanings,
and values around the world to extend and intensify social relations.
Globalization has both proponents’ and critics; some people believe
that it leads to a rich, global culture. Others see it as an imprint of
Western values and ideologies upon the world’s rich and diverse
cultures. As we can see the world is really getting smaller, information
about people, economy, and cultural aspects are moving toward
globalization.
In spreading cultural globalization, technology has played a
crucial role. For example, the great influence of the internet and other
social media affect the cultural views and belief of locals. Thus, easy
access to the internet allows people to connect with other countries and
be exposed to their cultures.
Hence, globalization tends to have tremendous effects on local
and traditional clothing. Most people imitate international fashion. As
a result, traditional clothing is less popular now.
Globalization also influences the traditional food of a country.
The widespread international restaurants impacted the taste of choice
of the locals. For instance, the western food chain company
McDonalds, which are present in almost all the countries in the world,
