pouring a pair of hands or gases on your hands. Do not lean over
the reagent dishes and inhale on full breasts.
It is necessary to work so that the reagents do not fall on the
skin. In case of contact with skin, immediately wash off the
reagent and, if necessary, provide first aid.
Preventive measures when working with glassware
Laboratory work is carried out in glass thin-walled and
brittle dishes, and therefore it should be remembered that
improper or careless work with glass leads to accidents. The most
dangerous is cuts in glass, contaminated with chemicals. Dishes
with reagents should be taken with two hands, with one for the
neck, and the other for the bottom. During the preparation of
glassware for work or its operation, it is necessary to observe the
following rules:
- the round bottom flask can not be kept behind the throat;
refrigerators, nozzles, allonges do not squeeze much in their
hands;
- when assembling the installation, keep your hand as close
as possible to the connection points;
- before installation, the installation must be checked for
leakproofness;
- organic liquids to heat only in round-bottom flasks on
metal nets (heating by a gas burner), or in baths (water, oil); - it is
impossible to heat the liquid in a flask that is tightly sealed;
- to heat volatile and flammable substances it should be in
flasks with a return fridge.
Take precautions when working with particularly toxic
substances
All work must be carried out in the exhaust cabinet with the
doors and with the maximum lowered. Before work, it is
