include Business Intelligence (BI), Business process Management

(BPM), and Business Process Automation (BPA).

                       BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI)

Business Intelligence (BI) is a set of applications and technologies

to acquire, sort, analyze, and provide access to information to help users

make more informed and better decisions. Some common BI applications

are decision support system (DDS), Query and Reporting, Online

Analytical Processing (OLAP), Statistical Analysis, and data mining.

OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) is a software tool to for analysis of

data stored in a database. Users can use OLAP to analyze different

               dimensions.

The central component of OLAP is OLAP server. OLAP server is

an intermediary between a client and database management system.

OLAP server has an understanding of data organization in the database

and equipped with tools/functions to analyze this data. Every major

database system provides its OLAP server. In general terms, data mining

(also called knowledge discovery) refers to the process in which the data

is analyzed from different viewpoints and then summarized into useful

information that can be used for competitive advantage, e.g. to cut costs

               or to increase revenue.

                       BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT (BPM)

Business Process Management is a set of enterprise activities

performed to optimize business processes such as employee hiring. BPM
