LEGAL OBLIGATIONS FOR ONLINE BUSINESS

                       Every  company  must  meet  legal  obligations  when  conducting


               business online.

                       These are designed to protect company and its customers. Following

               is discussion of some of these legal obligations.



                       PRIVACY


                       If  a  company  saves  contact  and  personal  information  from

               customers, it is necessary under the privacy laws of many countries to

               make customers aware of what is being collected. Company must also

               clearly explain how it will use their information.




                       INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

                       Companies  may  encounter  intellectual  property  (IP)  issues  when

               running  online  business,  such  as  potential  copyright  and  trademark

               infringements. Governments around the world have dedicated agencies


               that grant patents, register designs and trademarks, and provide protection

               for  intellectual  property.  When  setting  up  online  business,  companies

               should consult with these agencies to seek help and work out any IP rights

               and obligations.




                       SPAM

                       Spam is electronic junk  mail.  It is  used to send bulk unsolicited

               promotional
