3 METHODICAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION AND
CONDUCTING SEMINARS
Practical training is one of the most important forms of
educational work, during which students learn to think logically,
analyse phenomena and generalize facts. Practical classes teach
themselves to work on literature, to form their attitude to the subject
of study and to consciously defend their thoughts.
Their purpose is to in-depth study of the theoretical material of
the subject through the regular and systematic work of students
throughout the period of study of this discipline. To do this, at
practical classes, students perform oral and written teaching
material on a specific, specific topic.
Practical classes require a well-organized organization and
thorough preparation for their conduct. Preparation of practical
classes consists of:
1) determining the form of conducting a lesson:
free form in the form of conversations or performances of
students without prior distribution of subjects;
abstract form in which the speakers and co-rapporteurs are
appointed in advance from among the students, presenting
their reports and individual scientific papers for discussion;
a mixed form that combines discussion of reports and free
speech;
2) clear planning of practical classes - its subjects, content,
methods of conducting, taking into account that it is necessary to
evaluate the work of each student;
3) preparation of questions. The questions should not only
control students' knowledge, but how to intensify their thinking,
give direction to the discussion;
4) organization of performances of students.
In preparation for practical classes it is recommended: to
carefully weigh the content of the topic; to find the necessary
literature; to develop a plan for conducting a practical lesson,
including a sequential presentation in the thesis form of the main
provisions of the topic; to make basic, additional and auxiliary
questions for students; to distribute students by surnames with
