fatal blow to the Sarmatians and the Huns
dealt the final blow in IV cent.;

3d-4th cent. The Goths:
AD 1) the Germanic tribes of Goths came to the
northern adjacent areas of the Black Sea from
the Baltic in 3 cent. AD, forced out the
Sarmatians over the Don, destroyed Olvia and
Tyre and subdued the population of the
Crimea;
2) the Gothic state Reyhhotland occupied the
territory from the Dniester to the adjacent
areas of the Azov. The capital was in
Dniprove Misto near the modern Bashmachka
village in Zaporizhzhya region;
3) the Gothic state gained the utmost power in

the middle of the 4 century during the rule of
kings Ermanaric and Winitariy who were at
the state of permanent war, with the Antes in
particular;

4) in the 4 century the Goths adopted
Christianity in the form of Arianism;
5) in the year of 375 they were defeated by
the Huns, the part of them (The Visigoths)
retreated under the protection of the Roman
Empire, the other part settled in the Crimea.
Later they joined the Huns in the wars of
conquest;
