2 MANAGEMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY

There are levels and centers of Occupational Safety Management.
Management of Occupational Safety is divided into the following levels (Figure
2.1):
1 Nationwide (state);
2 Regional (regional, district, city...);
3 Industry;
4 Production (enterprise level).

In general, there are three centers of Occupational Safety Management:

1) State management (Figure 1.4, items 1, 2, 3);
2) Management within the sphere of influence of the employer;
3) Management within the sphere of influence of employees.

2.1 State Management

According to Article 31 of the Law of Ukraine "On Labor Protection", the
State management on occupational safety is carried out by:
1) The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is the highest governing agency of the
Occupational Safety in the country;

2) Central Executive Agency responsible for implementing State policy
on occupational safety (The State Labour Service of Ukraine- Derzhpratci)
provides comprehensive Occupational safety management at the national level.
