5) the formation and use of insurance funds on the basis of solidarity and
subsidies;
6) differentiation of the amount of insurance rates (payment) depending on the
insurance experience;
7) differentiation of the insurance rates (payment) taking into account the
conditions and state of labor safety, occupational injuries and occupational diseases
in each enterprise;
8) economic interest of insurance subjects in improving labor conditions and
safety;
9) targeted use of social insurance funds;
10) the responsibility of employers and the Fund for the realization of the right
of the insured person to financial support and social services in accordance with this
Law.

1) Basic labour protection regulatory legal acts also comprise "Fundamentals
of the Legislation of Ukraine on Health Care" governing social relations in this
field aimed at ensuring harmonic development of physical and mental potential, high
working efficiency and long-standing active life of citizens; elimination of factors
negatively influencing people’s health; prevention and mitigation of morbidity,
invalidity and mortality as well as improvement of heredity.
The legal act "Fundamentals of the Legislation of Ukraine on Health Care"
stipulates for unified sanitary and hygienic requirements applicable to managing
production and other processes involving human labour as well as to the quality of
machinery, equipment, buildings and other facilities with the potential to affect
human health.
Besides, the document stipulates for compulsory health examination of workers
of certain categories including people working under harmful and hazardous labour
conditions; as well as provides a legal basis for the medical and social examination of
disability cases.
2) The Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemic Safety of the
Population” stipulates necessity of hygienic regulations and state registration of
hazardous and harmful factors of physical, chemical and biological nature present in
the environment of human vital activity; establishes requirements to design,
development, construction, manufacture and use of new means of production and
technologies; determines hygienic requirements to both atmospheric air in inhabited
