Blocking differentials are with forced blocking and self-locking.
Self-locking differentials are with full or partial blocking. The
latter are called differentials of increased internal friction.
Simple differentials by design are usually geared tapered or
cylindrical, partial differential lock - cam, worm, gear with friction
elements or hydraulic friction. Differentials with full locking are
constructed in the form of free-flow couplings. Known designs of
cam differential are made with axial and radial placement of
crackers with single row or double row.
The drive of the driving wheels of the car is carried out with
the help of uncut pews, or cut-out semis, equipped with cardan
hinges.
Split pivas need to be used with an independent suspension of
driving wheels (for example, "Niva", "Zaporozhets").
