               Explain how to meet the tire and wheel design requirements:
               - convenient installation and dismantling;
               -  softening  shock  loads  that  arise  when  driving  a  car  on
           uneven roads;
               - good adhesion to the road and low pressure on the soil;
               - self-cleaning of soil treaders;
               - absence of static and dynamic imbalance;
               - Increased traffic safety.
               It is necessary to pay attention to balancing of wheels. Check
           out tire  marking. Find out the need  for steering  wheel  mounting
           angles.

                  3 Directions for preparation for the lesson

               To study:
               -  purpose,  structure  and  operation  of  the  elements  of  the
           running gear of the car;
               - purpose, structure of bodies and cabins;
               - frame structures of trucks and cars;
               - the design of bodies of cars and buses;
               - design of suspensions of vehicles;
               - design of shock absorbers;
               - the design of the wheels.

               4 The order of work execution

               Describe characteristics of the components of the running
           gear of vehicles:
               - types of frame or body;
               - suspension of front wheels;
               - suspension brackets for rear wheels;
               - shock absorbers;
               - the rim of the wheel, the size (marking) and the number of
           tires on the vehicle,
               - internal air pressure in the front and rear wheels;
