5.5. The legal education as a means of forming the legal
awareness and legal culture.
The constant impact on people and society in order to form a
legal culture is called legal education. Legal education is the most
important means of forming a legal sense and legal culture.
The subjects of legal education are institutions of the state and
civil society institutions: family, labour collectives, citizens'
associations, educational institutions, mass media, politicians,
teachers, journalists.
Legal education is a study, which consists in the transfer,
accumulation and mastering of legal knowledge in the kindergarten,
school, and higher educational institution. This form is most effective
since it provides the individual with a certain system of legal
knowledge.
Legal education through legal advocacy is the dissemination of
legal ideas and legal requirements among the population through mass
communication. Such a form of legal education attracts the attention
because if wide possibilities – it is available to virtually unlimited
number of individuals.
Legal practice contributes to the transfer of legal information,
knowledge through the participation of people in the legal process.
Legal actions carried out by the individual independently contribute to
the consolidation of his/her knowledge of law and the finding of legal
skills and abilities.
An important form of legal education is self-education
associated with personal experience, self-education, own analysis of
legal phenomena. None of the forms of legal education can be
effective without self-education. Only own efforts and the acquisition
of legal knowledge, considerations about legal reality contribute to the
development of a true legal culture of the individual.
