                      Reception of polymer materials and study of their
                 properties

                       Purpose:    to   study    the   main    classes   of
                 macromolecular  compounds,  their  structure,  methods  of
                 obtaining, properties and uses.

                                    Reagents and equipment:

                       benzene,  ethanol,  phenol,  urea, oxalic  acid,  phthalic
                 anhydride,  glycerol,  35-40%  solution  of  methanal
                 (formalin),  80%  solution  of  acetic  acid  (ethanol),  25%
                 ammonia  solution,  chloride  acid  (concentrated    ),  glasses,
                 test tubes, filter paper, a piece of plywood, a water bath.
