                       CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM)

                       A CRM system manages various aspects of customer relations, e.g.

               customer information management, interaction with customers, purchase

               history, and customer interests. ERP systems often serve as a basis for


               CRM system. CRM system  is  typically  assisted by specially designed

               software called CRM software (Figure 14-4). The CRM software can be

               used by various departments. Marketing Department uses it to gain better

               customer  understanding  while  sales  department  uses  it  to  track  sales

               process.
