               and creative response. AI systems are used by organization in a variety of


               ways, e.g. answering customer queries, new employee training, and data

               analysis.



                       KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (KMS)

                       Knowledge  management  refers  to  a  broad  set  of  organizational


               strategies and practices used to identify, create, represent, and distribute

               knowledge.  Knowledge  comprises  of  insights  and  experiences

               exemplified by individuals and entrenched in organizational processes.

               Knowledge workers (e.g. engineers and doctors) are those persons whose

               jobs  center  on  collection,  processing,  and  application  of  information.


               Knowledge workers are an asset to any organization.

                       In general, a knowledge management system is a technology-based

               system  used  for  creation,  capture,  storage,  and  dissemination  of

               information.  Knowledge  management  system,  typically  assisted  by


               specially designed software, assists organization to collect, archive, index,

               and retrieve its knowledge.



                       INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEM (IIS)


                       These are the information systems that cannot be classified as one

               of the five types discussed earlier. An integrated information system is the

               one, which supports and provides functionalities provided by the multiple

               information systems, e.g. transaction processing and generation of MIS
