Laboratory work № 7
MANUAL STEERING, BRAKE SYSTEMS OF
AUTOMOBILE
1 The purpose of the work is to study the designation,
conceptual diagrams, design features of the steering and brake
systems of the car.
2 Basic theoretical provisions
Manual steering serves to change the direction of movement
of the vehicle by turning its drive wheels. Steering is classified by
the placement of the steering gear, steering gear and driven wheels
by the design of steering mechanisms and steering drives.
It is necessary to study the requirements relating to steering
and how these requirements are performed in the specified
mechanisms.
Steering requirements are as follows:
- ease of management;
- steady movement in a straight line;
- turning of the steering gear;
- minimal transmission of impulses and strokes on the
steering, wheel;
- correct kinematics of a turn;
- observance of the proportionality between the forces on the
steering wheel and the moment that returns the steering wheels;
- observance of the proportionality between the angle of
rotation of the steering wheel and the angle of rotation of the
driven wheels;
- ensuring traffic safety;
- the possibility of regulatory work.
It is necessary to know from what materials the details of a
