Democratization of the process, concerning proclamation and
protection of human rights, has greatly accelerated the adoption of
international instruments on consolidation, legal regulation and
development of a mechanism for the international protection of human
rights in the states that have signed international treaties.
The most important international documents, which fully comply
with the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, include the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the International
Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1966), International Covenant
on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (1966), European
Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental
Freedoms with Protocols (1950), European Social Charter (1961),
Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe
(1975), Document of the Copenhagen Meeting of the Conference on
the Human Dimension of the CSCE/OSCE (1990), etc.
