- legal relationships are legally protected relationships. In case of
non-fulfilment of legal obligations by the subjects of legal relations,
they may be subject to coercive measures provided for by the
sanctions of legal norms.
Depending on which branch of law social relations are
regulated, legal relations are divided into constitutional, civil,
administrative, labour, and other. Depending on the number of
subjects, there are simple legal relations (where each side is
represented by one subject) and complex (where each side is
represented by several subjects). Depending on the certainty of the
parties, there are relative legal relations (where both sides are
precisely defined) and absolute (where one side of the relations is
exactly determined, and the second one is all the subjects interacting
with it).
In any legal relations the subjective right of one party
corresponds with the subjective obligation of the other party of the
relationship (for example, the right of an employee to receive a salary
in employment relationships corresponds to the administration's
obligation to pay it within the prescribed period).
Legal relations, unlike other social relations, are protected by the
state authorities from violations. The state imposes sanctions for
violation of legal relations, property damage, violation of legal
obligations, facts of offenses.
The participants of the legal relationship are interconnected by
specific subjective rights and obligations, which are of an official
legal nature. There is a subjective individual connection between them
on the basis of legislative acts.
Legal relations arise and exist when there are two and more
subjects of social relations, between which there are rights and
obligations regarding the satisfaction of material and spiritual needs
and interests of interested parties, which can be regulated and cannot
be regulated by legislation.
Legal relations are social relations, which have a voluntary
nature and individual legal relations between the subjects of law in
the form of legal rights and obligations, which are protected by the
state authorities, correspond or do not contradict the principles of
lawful state and legal civil society.
