                   Hidayat  Mammadov  and  Vugar  Abbasov  are  both  examples  of  how  many  of  our  local
            talents have international potential. Maersk Drilling offers training and competency development
            and for the right people this means unlimited international career opportunities.
                   Currently  74%  of  Maersk  Drilling’s  employees  in  Baku  are  Azerbaijani.  The  rig  team
            established the first local Driller Trainee position in 2010 which turned out to be a success. Trainee
            positions  have  become  part  of  the  standard  setup  of  nationalising  higher  positions  and  are  an
            important means of reaching our internal target of having 85% Azerbaijani employees on Heydar
            Aliyev in 2018.
                   “We  are  implementing  a  five  year  nationalisation  plan  for  2014-2018  including  a
            nationalisation  process  a  revised  recruitment  strategy  and  various  learning  and  development
            initiatives to support national professionals  in the oil and gas  industry”says Gulnar  Asgarov HR
