3) The centrifuge of “Elecon” LSSTC-R10-01 type (the
centrifuge of “Элекон” ЦЛМН-Р10-01 type) (fig. 8.3) (this
centrifuge is the laboratory table centrifuge with a rotor for 10 test
tubes (the frequencies of rotor rotation are 1000; 1500; 2000;
2700 revolutions/minute)) and others.

8.3 Equipment, devices and materials (reagents)
Centrifuge (with a hand or electric drive), graduated test tubes for
centrifuges, oil-water emulsion.
8.4 Procedure and results of observation
8.4.1 Pour emulsion, for example, hydrophobic emulsion of “oil-
water” type into five graduated test tubes (fig. 8.4).
8.4.2 At proof emulsions dilute them by 50 % of petrol.
Covering the test tubes by a thumb shake them strongly for 3 –
5 minutes.
8.4.3 Fasten into the nests of the centrifuge four of test tubes and
the fifth one is left as the control test tube by the end of experiment.
8.4.4 Close the protective casing by the cover and put the
centrifuge into operation.
8.4.5 After 3 minutes of centrifuge operation take out the test
tubes and mark the level of the settled water (water and mud).
8.4.6 Repeat this operation until the destruction of emulsion
reaches the stage when the water and mud level stops increasing.
8.4.7 Put the results of the observations into table 8.1.
