Variation 2: Take any set of concepts, which can only be graded
by subjective criteria. For example, animals can be graded
according to how dangerous they are. Would you agree with the
grading in the examples below?
Variation 3: Tell the students to write down one sentence for each
word. Each sentence should illustrate the relative intensity or
ranking of the word. In this activity it is helpful if the words are
listed vertically in order. Then the sentence can be written opposite
each word.
