Women: Washed hair, recently done by a saloon, wear bra with nice dress or

suit. Wear shoes, not sandals, not too much perfume.

                      3. Be 5-10 minutes early for the interview. Be very polite to the secretary, receptionist and
any other workers at the firm.

                      4. When answering a question, talk only between 15 seconds and 2 minutes. No more.
                      5. Try to ask questions about the job and the company. Remember: the interview also helps

you to decide if you want to work for them.

                      6. Try not to discuss salary until the company decides that they want to hire you. If the boss
never mentions the salary during the interview, that is good! The person who talks about

salary first always is the loser.
                      7. If the interviewer says you must suggest a salary, give a salary range ($1200-1600 per

                          month) instead of one number.
                      8. Do not drink alcohol or smoke during an interview. Try not to have an interview at a

restaurant. If you do, order something light that will not be hard to eat. Remember: you

are looking for a job, not a free lunch.
                      9. Remember: the first 15 seconds is the most important part of the interview! Smile, look

directly at the interviewer and say your name clearly.
                      10. At the end of the interview, ask if the interviewer thinks that you are qualified. If the

answer is “no”, this will give you another opportunity to explain the reasons that yes,

                          you are qualified.
                      11. At the end, say, “I would like to work for your firm” Always remind the interviewer that

you are interested in the job.
                      12. Do not ask “me” questions (salary, benefits, vacation) until they offer you the job.

                      13. At the end, always ask when the employer will make the decision. Ask if you can

                          telephone to learn the decision.
                      14. Try to write a “thank you” letter to the interviewer after you are finished.
