The Fuel Service today is a highly mobile and efficient machine. Its special

establishments and agencies carry out a vast volume of work. The supply combat

units and subunits with fuel, aviation fuel and technical facilities. Under present

day conditions the Armed Forces engaged in combat training consume a vast

volume of fuel. That means that the Fuel Service has to meet this demand for fuel

supply.

The constant motorization, automation and mechanization of the Army and

Navy have led to increase fuel consumption volume, demand for new fuel grades,

lubricants and special fuel. Taking this into consideration new and responsible

missions in fuel supply of all the armed services were set to the Service. To carry

out these missions successfully the Service has been equipped with new technical

facilities. The whole of the motor-vehicle fleet for refueling and transportation of

fuel has been renewed. New field refueling facilities are now in wide use. There

are 500 names of the technical facilitations which form 11 groups, the main of

them are: means of pumping, means of refueling, means of transportation and

means of storage. The Service also pays special attention to the training of skilled

personnel.

Upon graduation from the Higher Technical Military School I'll be the Chief

of the Regiment's Fuel Service.
