DISPENSING EQUIPMENT

When preparing equipment for operation, make sure to arrange this equipment on a

ground level close to a reservoir (a tank) from which fuel is being pumped. See
that the length of a suction head is minimum, and the fire-prevention rules are

strictly observed.
In all cases the actual suction head should not exceed the vacuum suction head

specified for the given dispensing equipment.
The pump suction branch pipes should be directed toward the reservoir (tank) from

which fuel is being pumped out, whereas the delivery branch pipes should be

directed toward the delivery side.

To operate the pump at the specified ratings, open the delivery line slide valves

slowly and gradually to avoid a sharp drop of pressure in the delivery line which

may result in stopping of a transferred fuel jet.
