TEMPLATE
The 21-well unitized template design shown in fig. 6.38 was based on
strength requirements and use of an easily procurable material. Possible installation
and leveling techniques are discussed fully in "Floating Drilling."
This template contains 17 standard wellhead receptacles in addition to four
leveling pile inserts that may become well slots upon completion of the leveling
operations. The 21 wells share guideposts, as they are spaced 8 Vz ft between
centers. Also included at one end of the template structure is a sales riser
base/receptacle. The sales line receptacle will receive the 123/4-in. OD pipeline.
