Clay
IR - monotonous character of the curve, the value of the
imaginary resistance varies from 1 to 10 Ohm, curve of lateral
logging (LL) - double layer;
SP - monotone curve without anomalies (maximum values
of positive potentials);
DW - usually increased diameter of wells, compared to the
nominal diameter
GL - increasing or even the maximum value of the intensity
of gamma rays if a cross-section of wells no apparent radioactive
elements, the mentioned of natural radioactivity varies from 20 to
40 mcR / hr .;
NGL - the lowest value and ranges from 1.0 to 1.2
conventional units.
Sandstones
IR - curve not monotone, imaginary resistance values may
vary within wide ranges, depending on changes in the coefficient
of porosity and fluid nature, from 1 to 1000 ohm, LL curve – three
layer;
SP - the presence of anomalies, the value of which depends
on the porosity and clayness. With increasing porosity anomaly SP
curve increases, while increasing clayness – decreases;
DW - usually equal to the nominal diameter of the well, but
may be a case where the well diameter is smaller than the nominal,
caused by the formation of clay crust on the walls of the well
against sandstone;
GL - usually small natural radioactivity and value ranges
from 2 to 4 mcR / hr, if clayness of sandstone increase then natural
radioactivity increases too;
