Laboratory work №4
LITHOLOGICAL DISMEMBERMENT OF WELL CROSS-
SECTION ACCORDING TO THE COMPLEX OF GWL
METHODS
4.1 Purpose of the work
Be familiar with the dismemberment of technique
lithological profiles of wells according to the GWL.
4.2 Theory
Lithological variety of rock lithology (clay, shales,
siltstones, mudstones, sandstone, limestone, gypsum, anhydrite,
conglomerates, salt, etc.) is defined by the presence of chemical
elements, textures, structures, cementing material, etc. which in
turn is reflected in the results of measurements of geophysical
parameters. Thus, each lithological variety of rock has its
geophysical characteristics.
The more data is used by various geophysical methods in
solving this problem, the better it is solved. Given that in the
context of the wells is not always carried out a full range of
methods GWL because we considered characteristic only those
methods that run almost all the well section. These methods
include:
- method of imaginary electrical resistance (IR);
- method of self-potensiale polarization (SP);
- cavity meathearing (diameter of well DW);
- gamma logging (GL);
- neutron-gamma logging (NGL);
Below is a brief description of the geophysical parameters
for different lithological varieties.
