                                     liquid  limit  and  the  boundary  of  the
                                     material  increase,  while  dramatically
                                     decreasing its ductility characteristics.
                                     Schematic  diagram  stretch  of  the

                                     7.7.   However,    considering    the
                                     proximity  of  the  formulas  (7.14)  -
                                     (7.16), the calculation of  strength on
                                     impact  is  made  by  using  static
                                     strength   characteristics   of   the

                                            Reduced  plasticity  of  the
                                     material on impact often leads to the
          fact that the material that undergoes during static destruction of
          large  plastic  deformations  destroys  as  fragile  on  impact.  To
          identify  the  susceptibility  of  the  material  to  brittle  fracture  on
          impact shock test is performed by means of which we can define
          the so-called toughness of the material, which is characterized by
          its ability to absorb mechanical energy on impact. To test samples
          the standard form is used. One type of these samples is shown in
          fig. 7.8.
                 The  sample  is  subjected  to  shock  destruction  copra
          pendulum type (fig. 7.9)
