The SPAR hull is then flooded with seawater and up-ended
(fig. 2.27, c). Once in place, the hull is connected to the already
installed mooring system. The topsides are then attached to the
SPAR hull (fig. 2.27, d).

2.3 Tension-Leg Platform Drilling
In the class of compliant structures the tension leg (or
tethered) platforms are important developments as alternatives to
the fixed platforms that become extremely expensive for water
