For locations of the world’s fleet, most active is the North
Sea/NW Europe with 42, followed by the US Gulf of Mexico (35),
Brazil (22), West Africa (18), SE Asia (11), Mexico (9) and the
Mediterranean/Black Sea (8). Other semisubmersibles are
distributed in eight other world areas.
