Rationing of the intensity of thermal radiation.
The intensity of thermal radiation on the workers from the heated surfaces of
process equipment, lighting devices, insolation on permanent and non-permanent
workplace must not exceed:
2
35 W/m at irradiation of 50% of the body surface or more;
70 W/m at an irradiation from 25% to 50% of body surface;
2
2
100 W/m at an irradiation of 25% of the body surface and less.
The intensity of thermal radiation on the workers from open sources (heated
metal, glass, "open flame") shall not exceed:
2
140 W/m at irradiation of 25% of the body surface and less - in this case,
necessary to use of personal protective equipment, including face and eyes means.
Meteorological Conditions Normalization Methods
1) Improvement of technological processes and equipment (removal of
intensive heating).
2) The rational placement of equipment; sources of heat are placed under
ventilation in order to prevent a thermal current crossing at the workplace.
3) Automation and remote control over technological processes. Employees
should leave the industrial zone where there are harmful factors.
