deformation of the nozzles, incomplete combustion of fuel and
its over-consumption, and reduction of engine power.
Therefore, diesel fuel regulates both maximum and
minimum viscosity. So, for summer fuel, the kinematic
viscosity must be within range 3,0...6,0 сSt, winter – 1,8...6,0

            Standards of Ukraine 4840-2007).
Kinematic viscosity of petroleum products is
            determined by GOST 33-66.
Vizkosimeter is a U-shaped tube (Figure 9.1) with three
extensions, in a narrow circle 2 of which a capillary 5 is
lengthened in length of 0,075 m. Vazkosimetri are made with
                                                                     -3
different diameters of the capillary: from (0,4 tо 40)10 m.
Above the capillary there are two extensions 4 and 3. The lower
extension 6 serves as a reservoir where the liquid flows when
determining the viscosity. The expansion is made in order to
keep the height of the column of liquid under the action of
leakage constant. The upper part of the wide lap 1 has a nozzle
for attaching a rubber tube 7 to a pear. On the upper extensions,
the viscosimeter number, its nominal diameter is affixed. By
number and diameter of the capillary, a stable viscometer is
            found in the factory passport.
To maintain a constant temperature, the dosimeter is
immersed in a liquid thermostat. Thermometer 9 of the
thermostat must have a price point 0,1 С. To fill the
            thermostat, use distilled water.
The diameters of the capillary viscometer are chosen in
such a way that the time of leakage of the explored fuel it was
            within 60...120 s.
On the side of the viscometer, put a rubber tube with a
pear, turn the viscometer on 180 С and immerse a narrow knee
in a glass with the fuel being studied (Fig. 9.1 b). Having closed
