could say that she was sort of a big deal.
Martin Luther King Jr is considered to be one of America's
greatest orators and he was eventually assassinated because of his
work in advancing the civil rights campaign. He was an activist and
humanitarian, as well as a devout Christian who believed that he could
change the world with non-violent protests; which he did. He
organised marches, parades and campaigns against racial segregation
and dedicated his life to overcoming this racist policy which the
government held in place. He was killed for his determination to bring
justice to people who were judged and treated horribly because of the
colour of their skin.
There are also a lot of heroes of the “Heavenly Hundred".
These are people who were killed during the mass pro-EU protests in
2014 in Kyiv. They demanded democracy, rule of law and respect for
human rights. During The Revolution of Dignity millions of citizens
from all corners of the country fought for the defence of their rights.
All theses people became the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, the fighters
for Ukrainian independence.
So, looking at the lives of these heroes I can say that one
person can make a difference in the lives of others.
