                  begin with 2,3 characters.


                         3. Underline - the most convenient way to highlight individual words and
                  phrases. The underline line begins under the first one, and ends with the last letter


                  of the word that  is  highlighted, including the  legs and brackets; the punctuation
                  mark that stands after the word is not emphasized. The whole sentence should be


                  emphasized with a solid line, starting with the first letter and ending with the last

                  letter of the sentence.

                         4.  The  words,  sentences,  parts  of  the  text  are  highlighted  in  italics.  This

                  method is predominantly used when text is typed on a computer.

                         There are the following types of edits:

                         - correction correction is a reconciliation of the corrected text with editorial

                  editing text and accepted as a model. With such a correction technical errors are

                  technical errors (enter the missing letters);

                         -  correction-reduction  -  elimination  from  the  text  of  repetitions  of  non-

                  essential material;

                         - edit-reworking is used in cases where the author of the text is poorly fluent

                  in the literary language and fails to express his opinion;

                         - edit-processing - a complex kind of editing, which provides  for analysis

                  and selection of actual material; evaluation and improvement of the structure of the

                  oil and gas text; language correction of the text; checking the correctness of the

                  external design of the text.

                         In ruling the text, we must adhere to the three most important principles of

                  editing:

                         1) proof of the need for revision;

                         2) the editing sequence;

                         3) diligence of the edit.

                         A well-known expert in editorial art, A. Milchin calls seven editing terms:
