What is usually called the text and what appears in each individual case as the
result of a particular speech act (fixed to the same by certain means) is, in fact, a
complex phenomenon. In the linguistic aspect, first of all, the retrospective scheme
from speech to language should be continued. The acceptable delineation of the
concepts of "language" and "speech" in linguistic history allows you to resume the
process of occurrence of the text as follows: langutions - communicative. This
general scheme takes into account only the linguistic side of the emergence of the
text and therefore should be supplemented by elements related to the activity of
consciousness. In addition to communicative, language and speech perform also a
representative function. Words, that are a part of this language, denote certain
phenomena, so language is a means of expressing and conveying certain
information. Sound and graphic complexes, that are perceived by the addressee,
generate in the mind of the thinker processes, similar to those that occur in the
mind of the person who creates the text.
Each act of speech is a somewhat long process. The moment of the end of a
particular speech is simultaneously the moment of birth of a specific text. The
relation between language and thinking, speech and text, thus, forms the following
chain: "language and consciousness - thinking and language (specific processes of
thinking and specific acts of speech) - text (specific texts)." A place of the text in
this scheme is determined by its direct connection with thinking and speech and
indirect (through thinking and speech) with the language [5, p. 125].
But even this scheme is not complete, adequate to the actual processes of the
origin of the text (even if only the mental and linguistic aspects of these processes
are taken into account). The transition from the language directly to the concrete
(and, accordingly, individual) acts of thinking, scilicet speech, is considered as a
simple updating of the language system.
The purpose of speech communication is not the direct reproduction of the
structure of the language, but the implementation of the language of the message,
the speech communication.
