1. Then she sat beside Mr. Tavernier and listened. As the
song finished she applauded and said: “Thank you very much. I
haven’t heard that song since I was at school and really love it”
(newspaper writing).
2. A: Yes, I bought two new containers. They’re out in the
garage. [Person A goes to the garage and returns]
A: Oh, hey, this is nice.
B: What?
A: They come out so you can fill them (conversation).
3. A: That’s all I needed to do.
B: Yeah, it was painless. Somebody left their keys. Those
aren’t yours? (Conversation).
4. A: We didn’t have the peanut butter, that’s what I’m
going back for.
B: Oh, I made it for you, guys; I didn’t make it for myself
