1. Tank trucks are widely used for shipment of fuel by road. The capacity of tank

trucks may be from 4 to 20 tons. Horizontal reservoirs, rubberized-fabric

reservoirs, steel barrels and metallic cans are used for shipment of small quantities

of fuel, oil and special fluids by road. On country road and highway the horizontal

reservoirs (P-4, P-6, P-8e) are shipped in trucks and special trailers. When shipped

by truck the reservoir is placed on a special bed-frame and is secured with multi-

piece strapping or wire.

2. Small-size rubberized-fabric reservoirs may be used for shipment of fuel by

trucks as well. During shipment of petroleum products in rubberized-fabric

reservoirs they may be filled with fuel both in trucks and on ground. To avoid

hydraulic impacts during shipment the filled reservoirs should be rigged in the
