INTRODUCTION

At this stage of the world economy, where consumption of oil
and gas increases and the hydrocarbon reserves sharply reduced, focuses
on the efficiency of oil and gas companies. The main way to ensure
efficiency is to create new technologies and training highly qualified
specialists.
Educational institutions train specialists in oil and gas business
for a number of specialties because of the complexity and high research
intensity of production. But these specialties closely related to each
other. Therefore, highly specialist oil and gas industry in any specialty
for efficient execution of their duties must possess a wide range of
knowledge.
Industrial and geophysical studies provide information support
the construction process, development and exploitation of oil and gas
wells. Each of these stages of production specialists analyze geophysical
data and based on them makes important management decisions that are
designed to provide high performance. Such analysis is possible only
with adequate knowledge of geophysics.
This laboratory works is intended for students under the
direction of «Oil Business» and produces a basic knowledge of the
physical foundations of well logging methods, principles of borehole
equipment, the characteristics of the log and their applications.
